Llamas & Alpacas in the Ötztal
Our farm, Reiterhof Alpin Appart, is in Niederthai, in the heart of the Ötztal at 1,550 m. We’ve been keeping and breeding llamas since 2007, and alpacas since 2019. They all live together in one herd. We also have ponies, horses, miniature pygmy goats, rheas, chickens and cats.

Have you ever taken a llama for a walk?
Hiking with llamas and alpacas is an unforgettable experience for all ages. The animals are surprisingly easy to lead and very friendly – and contrary to popular belief, they don’t spit.
