Ever taken a llama or alpaca for a walk? No? Then it’s time—time to relax, unwind and enjoy nature.
An experience for all ages
What to expect on the hike
Before we set off, we’ll share some helpful tips on handling the animals. You’ll learn how to lead a llama or alpaca on a leash—and then we’re off. Our “big” geldings are seasoned hikers, and even the young stallions are already doing a great job.
Children especially love leading a llama or alpaca themselves and stroking their soft, fluffy coats.
Guests staying with usFor guests at Reiterhof Alpin Appart, we organize a free llama and alpaca hike once a week in both summer and winter.
Visitors from the valleyEvery Friday at 10:00 a.m. in summer and winter—book online at oetztal.com/erlebnisse. Farm tours are not available.
Schools & kindergartensLooking for a different kind of field trip? Get in touch—we’d be happy to organize a hike with a difference. Tel. +43 5255 5932
In winter, too
Through the snow
Our llamas and alpacas head out in winter, too, exploring the snow-covered countryside around Niederthai.
